Education
Sunday has been celebrated since 1878.
It is the day when churches join to offer to God the work of
education, in schools, colleges, universities and in the church. It is a time to celebrate the achievements
of education, to recognise the challenges, and support and pray for all who
are involved in education. |

The theme this year is ‘Prizes That Last’, and as usual children,
staff and parents from |
|||||
|
|
|
|||||
|
In school we have been thinking about the different types of
prizes that we can give and receive.
Some children have gained prizes for activities which they take part
in out of school. We have prizes to
celebrate our achievements at school too. |

‘We know that God wants us to share our talents with others, so
that they can achieve things too’ ‘Our families and teachers share their talents to help teach us

‘You can’t always see prizes, these are prizes that last.’ |

Sometimes,
the prize that lasts is not a trophy or a certificate, but the satisfaction
of achievement, and helping others to achieve. |
