Creative Art

The children worked very hard in school to produce a range of preparatory art work for an outdoor mural.  They worked with Miss Loydon who co-ordinated and organised the whole project.

Year Two used a range of drawing pencils and oil pastels to create observational drawings, which were used collectively as a basis for group designs.  The children used sponges to create a mosaic effect based on some of the work by Gaudi.  Coloured tiles and jewels were used in the finished pieces of work.

The children produced observational drawings using a range of media and collage focusing on the use of shape and pattern.

All of the children in school worked on the mural .

The children developed colour mixing skills and made informed choices about composition and selected appropriate materials.

Marainne, the artist who joined us for ‘Art Day’, worked with the children in school using their ideas and designs to create the finished mural.

The finished mural is on display in our outdoor classroom.
